Sometimes we need to lose ourselves in order to find ourselves.
People all over the world are showing a new trend in their choices of how they spend their precious vacation days. People at first went to cities to see sights like the Eiffel Tower and the Great Wall of China, then the second wave was the desire to travel and experience the local culture, get immersed in cooking classes in Tuscany and visiting the spice market in Old Delhi. The third wave of travel trends is emerging – Transformational Travel.
What is Transformational Travel?
Transformational travel fills the desire we all have as humans – to learn and grow. Oversaturated with media, consumerism and stress people are seeking meaningful ways to truly heal and regenerate, learn how to connect with themselves, and discover new techniques they can use to live in a more calm and soul centered way.
These types of travel experiences are meaningful and leave the traveller changed in a positive way. People are now setting out to have a personal development experience that will give them a deeper sense of self, open them to new connections, get them to take a few risks and show them something that will live on in their heart for ever.
While that might seem like a tall order, travel in itself can be transformational, what is happening now is an opportunity has arrived for travel destinations to facilitate the deeper transformational journey their guests are seeking.
Because of my career background and intersection of art and evolution, it has been a natural transition for me in to this space. I personally was approached by six different properties and hotels last year to bring them into full alignment with this new trend and take it to the next level, and create programming, experiences and messaging to support their guests have a transformational travel experience.
These are the transformational travel destinations I have worked with in varying capacities:
- Holistika Tulum
- Nomade Tulum
- Bonjuk Life Turkey
- Shu Sugi Ban House East Hampton New York
I am thrilled to be part of this emerging trend and look forward to creating content, installations and experiences that blow minds and open hearts.
As a world citizen I am profoundly connected to the gifts travel can bring and it is my pure pleasure to support people in all walks of life to learn and grow in this way.
